Apprenticeship summary

What will the apprentice be doing?

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to be trained in all aspects of painting and decorating. You will be working in varied environments, trained to work at height and in all weather conditions. We work at a variety of different sites including hotels, schools, football stadia, cricket grounds and shopping centres. There will be times when you’ll be working away from home, or visiting our Training Academy in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity with lots of reward for the right person.

You will attend college for the duration of your apprenticeship, this could be one week a month or one day a week. Alongside this will be gaining practical experience on-site. You will also attend our Doncaster training academy for 2 weeks in Year 1 and then 1 week in Year 2 & 3.

As you progress through your course you will be given more responsibility. Many of our apprentices go on to be supervisors and Contracts Managers. If you are successful in the role, we will encourage you to progress further within our business.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

1 Day per week at college or in weekly blocks aligned with the college timetable.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Following completion of the apprenticeship course, (and potentially a Level 3) plus sufficient time to apply experience on-site, thecandidates will be classd as a fully qualified painter and decorator.
